BANANA TORTE 
CRUST:

1 stick butter, softened
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. powdered sugar
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 lg. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
3 c. cold milk
3 or 4 lg. bananas
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix crust ingredients and pat into 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake 15 minutes; let cool. Mix cheese with sugar, then fold in 1/2 of the Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust. Mix pudding and milk as directed on pudding package; set aside. Slice bananas and layer over cheese mixture. Spread pudding over bananas in an even layer. Spread remaining Cool Whip over pudding and sprinkle nuts on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
