HADDOCK CHOWDER 
4 or 5 lbs. fish
2 1/2 lbs. potatoes
1/4 lb. salt pork
2 qts. milk
1/4 lb. butter
4 lg. onions

Cut pork in small pieces and fry out. Cut onions, add to fat and let simmer until tender. (Do not brown.) Add sliced potato and cook until nearly done. Add fish, sprinkle with salt and cook about 20 minutes or until it will leave the bone. Add milk and butter.
