ITALIAN CREAM CAKE 
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks, beaten
1 c. coconut
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. pecans

Mix all ingredients together. Fold in 5 egg whites which have been stiffly beaten. Bake in 3 round layer pans at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

ICING:

1/2 stick butter
8 oz. cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix together and frost cake.
