1 c. plain cornmeal
1 c. self-rising flour
3 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 c. milk or 1 can cream style corn

Mix all ingredients and cook in hot oil.
