GRANDMA IRENE'S SUGAR COOKIES 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. vegetable oil
5 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat butter, sugar, and eggs. Add oil and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Roll into balls (the size of walnuts). Roll in sugar and cinnamon and press criss-cross with a fork dipped in sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 370 degree oven. This is a crisp cookie that freezes well. Makes 7 or 8 dozen.
