1 2/3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
3 1/4-3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour cookie sheet. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until done.
