CHERRY NUT CAKE 
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. almond extract
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 pt. sour cream (16 oz.)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped cherries
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in greased and floured tube pan. Cream butter and sugar gradually adding 1 egg at a time. Add sour cream to which baking soda has been added. Add other dry ingredients and flavoring. Mix well. Fold in cherries and nuts (sprinkle). Top with confectioners' sugar when done if desired.
