FRENCH CHERRY PIE 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
12 saltine crackers, crushed

FILLING:

1 pkg. Dream Whip
1 (13 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cans cherry pie filling

Beat egg whites until stiff, gradually add sugar, vinegar, vanilla and baking powder. Fold in crushed crackers and nuts. Spread bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.

Filling: Beat 1 package Dream Whip with cream cheese (room temperature). Fold in vanilla and powdered sugar. Spread over cool pie shell. Top with cherry pie filling. Chill at least 5 hours or overnight.
