2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. peanut butter, crunchy or creamy
1/2 c. water

Mix sugar and 1/2 cup water in saucepan. Boil rapidly for exactly 1 minute. Pour over peanut butter and vanilla in a bowl. Beat with fork until thick. Pour into buttered pan. Cut into squares when cooled.
