1 lb. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. white syrup
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 c. nuts
16 oz. mixed candied fruits (mixed with 1 c. flour)

Mix all ingredients together; chill 1-2 hours. Make into roll, then chill again. Slice 1/4 inch and bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. These may be frozen in juice cans. Oil or grease empty frozen fruit juice cans and pack with cookie dough.

When ready to use, cut the remaining end of can out and push dough through. Makes a nice round cookie.
