RED CABBAGE | |
1/2 sm. head red cabbage 1/2 oz. butter 1 cooking apple, peeled, cored & cubed 3 fl. oz. boiling water Salt & pepper to taste 1 tsp. sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice Shred cabbage finely. Peel and chop onion. Melt butter in large saucepan. Add the onion and soften a few minutes over low heat, then mix in the cabbage, cut up apples and rest of the ingredients. Stir, cover and cook until tender. |
