RED CABBAGE RUSSIAN STYLE 
1 head red cabbage
3 apples
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
Dash of black pepper
1/4 c. red wine

Cut cabbage, add a little boiling water. Cook 10 minutes; drain. Melt butter in frying pan and add cabbage and apples. Cook for several minutes. Stir in flour, add remaining ingredients and cook 15 minutes until done.
