FROSTED SALAD 
2 pkgs. lemon Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 c. Sprite or 7-Up
2 lg. bananas, sliced
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 lg. can of crushed pineapple, drained, save juice

Dissolve Jello in boiling water; stir in cola; chill until partly set. Fold in remaining ingredients. Pour in serving dish and chill until firm.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. pineapple juice
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. butter
1 lg. carton Cool Whip
1/4 c. grated cheese (mild cheddar)

Combine sugar and flour. Stir in juice and egg. Cook over low heat until thick; add butter; stir in well. Chill until completely cool. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over Jello mixture. Top with grated cheese. This will keep a week or more in refrigerator.
