WHOLE WHEAT BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. corn oil butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. sifted whole wheat flour
1/2 c. unsifted white flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. mashed ripe bananas, 2 lg. or 3 sm.
1/4 c. buttermilk

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in the egg.

3. Sift together whole wheat flour, white flour, baking soda and salt. Combine bananas and buttermilk, stirring just enough to mix.

4. Add dry ingredients alternately with banana mixture to butter mixture, stirring just enough to mix well.

5. Turn into an oiled 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.

6. Bake 50-60 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling.
