WHOLE WHEAT BANANA BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 med. size ripe bananas, mashed
1 c. all-purpose white flour, sifted
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. hot water
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Melt butter and blend in sugar. Mix in eggs and bananas; blend until smooth. Sift white flour, whole wheat flour, salt and soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with hot water to first mixture. Stir in nuts.

Turn into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.
