SAUSAGE SKILLET SUPPER | |
1 lb. bulk sausage 1 onion, chopped 1 med. green pepper, chopped (omit or use less if not fond of green pepper) 1 (1 lb. 4 oz.) can or 2 c. tomatoes 1/2 c. water or tomato juice 2 c. uncooked macaroni 2 tsp. chili powder 2 c. sour cream Brown sausage, breaking apart as cooking. Drain fat (IMPORTANT TO DRAIN WELL). Stir in remaining ingredients except sour cream. Bring to a boil, cover skillet. Simmer, stirring to prevent sticking. Cook until macaroni is tender (20-25 minutes). Blend in sour cream, reheat to simmer. Along with salad and bread this is a very easy and satisfying meal. |
