PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. white Karo
2/3 c. milk
1/4 to 1/2 c. peanut butter

Mix sugar, Karo and milk. Cook over medium heat until soft-ball stage. Remove from heat and add peanut butter and butter. Beat until it starts to thicken. Pour into greased flat pan. Cool and cut. To make chocolate fudge, omit the peanut butter. Instead add 1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Makes 8 x 8 pan (1 pound 6 ounces).
