2 lbs. hamburger Salt and pepper to taste 1 tsp. celery salt or 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/3 c. ketchup or tomato juice 1 tbsp. dry mustard or 2 tbsp. liquid mustard 2 tbsp. dried onion or add fresh to taste 8 buns 8 slices cheese Brown hamburger. Pour off some grease. Add seasonings. Scoop out both sides of bun. Crumble crumbs into hamburger mixture. Put 2 heaping tablespoons on bun. Put on slice of cheese and add top of bun. Wrap in foil. Put some in freezer for later use. Put the ones you plan to eat in oven. Heat for 30 minutes at 200 degrees before serving. If you will use all of the mixture right away, chop up and add 6 hard cooked eggs to hamburger mixture. Do not put eggs in freezer. |
