CINNAMON BREAKFAST CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. soft butter
3 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Gradually add sugar to shortening, creaming until fluffy. Add egg; beat well. Add vanilla and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add and beat smooth. Bake in a greased 9 inch round layer pan or 8 inch square pan at 375 degrees (moderate) 20 to 25 minutes.

Remove from oven. At once spread top with butter, then sift powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon over cake. Serve warm. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
