2 1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. butter & Crisco mixed
2 eggs, beat well
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour, plain

Cream sugar and butter/Crisco. Combine milk, eggs (beaten) and vanilla in separate bowl. Sift flour, baking powder and soda in another bowl. Add milk combination to creamed sugar/butter, mix well. Then begin adding flour. Use more than the 4 cups to make dough stiff. Roll and cut. Makes about 10 dozen. Bake on slightly greased cookie sheet in 275 degree oven until brown.
