EGGS PORTUGAL 
6 slices white bread, cubed
3/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1 lb. skinless sausage, cooked
4 beaten eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
15 oz. can mushrooms

Line bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan with bread cubes. Sprinkle cheese over bread. Cut sausage into 1/3 section and put over cheese. Drain mushrooms and spread over sausage. Beat eggs with milk and pour over all. Season with pepper only. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Take foil off for last 10 minutes. Let set 5-10 minutes before serving.
