HARD CANDY 
Powdered sugar
3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 tsp. flavoring
Food coloring

Sprinkle 18 x 24 inch strip of foil with powdered sugar. Mix first 3 ingredients in large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil without stirring, until temperature reaches 310 degrees or until drops of syrup form hard and brittle threads in cold water. Remove from heat. Stir in flavoring and coloring. Pour onto foil. Cool; break into pieces. Store in refrigerator.

Peppermint - pink

Wintergreen - pale green

Cherry - red

Grape - purple

Butter rum - yellow brown.
