FRESH CHERRY PIE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. flour 1/8 tsp. salt 3 drops almond extract 4 c. pitted tart cherries 2 tbsp. butter 9 inch pie shell Combine the sugar, flour and salt. Sprinkle 4 tablespoons on the bottom crust. Add almond extract to the cherries and toss with the sugar and flour mixture. Mix thoroughly. Turn into a pastry-lined 9 inch pie pan. Dot with butter. Make a lattice top and flute the edges. Bake in hot oven (375 degrees) for approximately 45 minutes. |
