SHAKER CHICKEN SOUP 
1 carrot
3/4 c. celery
1 onion
3/4 c. cubed chicken
1 apple, peeled, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. curry powder
2 whole cloves
1 tbsp. parsley
1 c. canned tomatoes
4 c. chicken broth
Salt to taste
2 1/2 to 3 c. milk

Chop carrot, celery, onion. Saute in butter. Add flour. Gradually add broth, then all other ingredients but milk. Simmer 1 hour. Add milk; bring to boil. Serves 6.
