CHICKEN TETRAZZINI | |
1 chicken, cooked, meat removed and cut in pieces 1 c. chopped celery 1 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/4 c. chopped pimiento 1 c. mushrooms 1/2 lb. grated American cheese 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 qt. chicken broth 1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. fat (chicken fat or butter) 8 oz. pkg. vermicelli (spaghetti) Saute onion, green pepper and celery in fat. Add flour, then chicken stock, making a sauce. Salt to taste. Add garlic, pimiento, mushrooms and chicken. Cook spaghetti, add cheese, topping with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Will serve 12 to 24 people, depending upon the size of servings. |
