5 1/2 c. flour
1 pkg. butter (1 c.)
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cornstarch
4 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Beat eggs, butter, shortening and sugars with vanilla. Add 3 cups of flour and mix. Then add baking soda and salt with a sifter and mix. Add cornstarch and then add 2 1/2 cups of flour. Finally add nuts and chocolate chips.
