CHARLIE'S COMPANY CASSEROLE 
2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. sour cream
3 tbsp. dry onion soup mix
Dash of garlic salt
Dash of black pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 slices bread, made into crumbs
1/4 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 2/3 c. water
Cheese slices

Combine beef, sour cream, onion soup mix, egg and bread crumbs. Shape into about 16 meat balls. Brown in butter. Add mushrooms, soup and water to pan with meatballs. Simmer about 20 minutes, adding additional water, if needed. Place in 3-quart casserole. Layer cheese slices on top. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is melted.
