STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD 
2 c. pretzels, broken finely
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 lg. pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 c. cold water
1 qt. frozen strawberries

Cream butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Add pretzels and spread on bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool completely. Cream 1 cup sugar and cream cheese; add Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust.

Mix gelatin according to box. Add strawberries, stir thoroughly. Place in refrigerator to cool. When it begins to congeal, place on top of sugar and cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate.
