NO CHOLESTEROL APPLE CAKE | |
2/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 3 egg whites 2/3 c. all purpose flour 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1/2 c. oat bran 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground allspice or nutmeg 3 c. shredded unpeeled apples Powdered sugar, optional Spray a 13x9x2 inch baking pan with nonstick coating; set aside. Combine sugar, brown sugar, oil and egg whites in a large bowl. Beat with a wooden spoon until well blended. Add all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, oat bran, baking soda, cinnamon and allspice or nutmeg; stir just until moistened. Stir in shredded apples. Pour into pan. Bake 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Nutrition: 143 cal.; 2 g. pro; 2.7 g. carbo.; 4 g. fat; 0 mg cholesterol; 90 mg. sodium; 99 mg. potassium |
