APPLESAUCE MEAT LOAF 
2 slices bread
1/2 c. applesauce
2 lb. ground beef
2 slightly beaten eggs
1/4 c. finely chopped celery
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. Dijon style mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

TOPPING:

1/2 c. applesauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. Dijon style mustard

Combine bread and 1/2 cup applesauce. Add beef, eggs, celery, onion, 1 teaspoon Dijon style mustard, salt and pepper. Blend thoroughly. Shape into a round loaf in an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

With a wooden spoon, make a crater like depression in top of loaf. Combine topping ingredients and pour into depression. Note: Serves 4-5.
