WESTERN HASH 
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

3 1/2 c. whole tomatoes
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cover and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Before serving, top with slices of Velveeta cheese. Allow cheese to melt. Serve.
