ANGEL BISCUITS 
5 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and combine with buttermilk. Add this to dry ingredients. Stir well and knead, add more flour if needed. Roll out on floured board about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter. Brush top with melted butter. Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. Cut out biscuits may be frozen on cookie sheets until hard and then placed in plastic bags and kept in freezer until needed.
