HAM BEAN SOUP 
2 (15 oz.) cans great northern beans
2 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 med. potatoes (peeled and sliced)
2 carrots (peeled and sliced)
1/4 c. parsley flakes
1 bay leaf (important to flavor)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. fully cooked ham (cut into bite size pieces)

In large Dutch oven combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until potatoes and carrots are done.
