FROZEN FRUIT SALAD | |
1/3 c. sugar 1/3 c. flour 4 lg. slices pineapple, cut up Juice from pineapple 10 lg. marshmallows, cut up 10 red cherries 2 oranges, chopped 1/2 c. pecans, chopped 1/8 tsp. salt 1 lemon 1 egg 1/2 stick butter 1 can or 2 c. chilled milk Mix sugar and flour. Add pineapple juice from can. Cook in double boiler until thick. Add slightly beaten egg, salt, butter and stir. Cook 5 minutes then cool. Add juice from 1/2 lemon. Add chopped fruit and nuts. Beat milk and juice and other 1/2 lemon until stiff. Pour into fruit mixture and blend well. Pour into loaf pan and freeze 2 to 3 hours. Slice while frozen. |
