SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter (real butter)
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon juice
4 c. flour

Cream together sugar and butter. Add and mix to sugar mixture, in order, eggs, sour cream, baking powder, soda, salt, vanilla, lemon juice, and flour. Mix well. Chill dough. This dough can be rolled or cut. Also rolled into a ball, then flattened. Make the dough 1/4 inch thick before baking. This makes a thick cake like cookie. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Ice with powdered sugar icing.
