SHERRY'S GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and molasses. Add dry ingredients; chill dough. Roll into balls and dip into granulated sugar. DO NOT SMASH.

Bake at 375 degrees on an ungreased cookie sheet 7-8 minutes.
