DAD'S TO DIE FOR SPAGHETTI
After eating this recipe my daughter refuses to eat any other. We went to a fine Italian restaurant, she ordered their spaghetti and couldn't eat it!

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground turkey or sausage
2 (15 oz. ea.) jars spaghetti sauce (your favorite)
1 green pepper
1 large onion
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 diced tomato
1 jar tomato paste (optional)
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. lemon or lime juice
1 tbsp. sugar (helps the medicine go down)
1 tsp. fennel seeds (if you have them)
1 tsp. Italian seasonings (if you have them)
1/2 (16 oz.) box spaghetti

SAUCE:

Brown beef and sausage/turkey and drain grease.

In a large pot add all ingredients including cooked and drained meats, and mix thoroughly. If you can let it simmer for a couple hours, great, if your in a rush to eat like most of us are, just bring it to boiling for 8 to 10 minutes, that will soften up the vegetables a bit. But remember, to let the temperature come down and mix it up again before serving over your pasta.

PASTA:

Bring a large pot of water to boil, add some olive oil to prevent it from sticking together and some salt, to accelerate boiling and add flavor. Add pasta to roiling water and boil on high for 11 minutes. After time allotted, throw a piece of spaghetti at your wall/cabinet. If it sticks its ready. Drain water.

Serve spaghetti with sauce on top and a sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
