VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
46 oz. can V-8 juice
2 lb. ground chuck
1 (10 oz.) bag mixed vegetables
4 med. potatoes, cubed
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 bay leaves
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. sugar

Brown meat and drain off all grease. In a large soup pan, combine cooked beef, juice, chopped onion, cubed potatoes, bay leaves, salt, pepper and sugar.

Cook on medium heat until it comes to a boil and add mixed vegetables and cook until vegetables are tender. Serve with hot corn bread.
