POTATO-BACON SOUP 
4 slices bacon, chopped
3 med. potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 c. milk, divided
1/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt

Place bacon in a 2 quart casserole. Cover and microwave at high for 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes, or until lightly browned, drain well. Add potatoes, celery, onions, water, and pepper. Cover and microwave at high for 10-12 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring mixture after 5 minutes. Combine 1/2 cup milk and flour, stirring well; stir into potato mixture. Add remaining 2 cups milk and salt to potatoes. Microwave uncovered at high for 7-10 minutes or until thickened, stirring twice.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
