STRAWBERRY BANANA BREAD 
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. Crisco shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 or 2 eggs, beaten
1 c. ripe, mashed bananas
1/2 c. pureed strawberries
1/2 c. chopped nuts or rolled oats

Have all ingredients at room temperature. When using real lemon rind, combine the lemon rind with the shortening and sugar mixture rather then the dry ingredients. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour with salt, baking powder, set aside.

Cream shortening and sugar. Add the beaten eggs and blend until smooth. Add strawberries and bananas.
