FIVE - DECKER DINNER 
6 slices bacon
3/4 lb. ground beef
4 to 6 med. onions
4 med. potatoes
4 to 6 med. carrots
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 tbsp. parsley, chopped

Cut bacon into one inch pieces and line the bottom of a skillet or Dutch oven. Put ground beef made into patties on the bacon and sprinkle with salt and pepper. On this, place layers of sliced onions, potatoes and carrots. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper. Scatter green pepper and parsley over the top. Place skillet on medium heat and cook for 3 minutes after bacon begins to sizzle add 1/4 c. water. Put cover on pan, turn heat low and cook 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 generous servings.
