3 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix in large bowl and set aside to use later. 1 qt. applesauce, warmed 2 c. white sugar 2 c. raisins 1 c. black walnuts, chopped

Mix above ingredients, but do not beat. Add to flour mixture. Have entire mixture warm - not hot. Put into a well-greased and floured bundt pan or tube pan.

Bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300 degrees for bundt pan. Aluminum pan - 1 hour and 40 minutes. Do not overbake.

Can divide dough into loaf pans for Christmas gifts. Makes 3 small loaves or 2 medium loaves. Baking time for loaf pans is 20 to 30 minutes.

Freezes well for several weeks or will keep in cold place for several weeks.
