24 HOUR LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce, cut-up
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 (1 lb.) bag frozen peas
Grated cheese
4 stalks scallions
2 c. mayonnaise
2 tbsp. sugar
Bacon bits

In large salad bowl, layer lettuce, celery, chestnuts, peas and scallions. Top with mayonnaise, sealing all edges. Sprinkle top with sugar. Cover and refrigerate overnight up to 24 hours. Before serving, sprinkle with bacon bits and grated cheese.
