1 head lettuce, shredded
1 c. celery, chopped
1/2 green pepper, cut fine
1/2 c. green onion, cut fine
1/2 to 1 c. chopped cooked ham
1 pkg. frozen peas, thawed
1 can water chestnuts
1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
Bacon bits
1 chopped hard boiled egg (optional
Paprika
2 c. Miracle Whip
2 tbsp. sugar

In 13 x 9 cake pan put lettuce on bottom. Place on next 7 ingredients in order listed. Mix Miracle Whip and sugar; spread on top like a frosting. Sprinkle bacon bits, eggs, and paprika on top.

Chill overnight; cut in squares and serve with spatula or spoon.
