LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 c. celery, diced
4 eggs, hard cooked
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 sweet onion (purple)
8 slices bacon, fried & diced
1/2 c. real mayonnaise
1/2 c. cheddar cheese, grated

Tear lettuce in small pieces and layer in 9"x12" glass dish. Layer the rest of ingredients in order given. Add sugar (about 2 tablespoons) to mayonnaise and spread over top of vegetables as you would frosting. Top with grated cheese and cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours before serving.
