1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. flour

Cream sugar and butter; add egg, soda, salt, and nutmeg. Mix in flour, a cup at a time, adding milk a little at a time. Chill several hours or overnight. Roll and cut out. Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Great to frost and decorate too.
