NANA'S POTATO LATKES 
2 1/2 c. raw potatoes
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 sm. grated onion
Oil

Grate or shred potatoes and drain juice. Chop onion finely. Add potatoes and onions together. Mix together beaten eggs, milk, flour, salt and baking powder. Then add to potatoes.

Use electric skillet and heat oil to approximately 325 degrees. Drop spoonfuls of batter and fry until brown and turn over to brown other side. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Makes about 12 latkes.
