AUNT JOSEPHINE'S CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1/2 c. shortening 2 c. sugar 2 eggs 3/4 c. water 3 c. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. water 1/2 c. cocoa Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add flour, 3/4 cup water, vanilla and baking soda. Makes a soft batter. Then dissolve cocoa in 1 cup water and add to batter. Pour into greased and floured cake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and frost. |
