COMPANY CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. carrots, sliced
1 1/2 c. potatoes, sliced
2 to 3 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
1 c. mushroom soup
1/2 can water

Crumble 1/2 lb. hamburger in bottom of large casserole. Layer 1/2 of onions, carrots and potatoes. Repeat with rest of ingredients. Top with cabbage and 3 slices of cheese. Salt and pepper if needed. Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. basil. Mix soup and water. Pour over all. Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour.
