ONE PAN RAISIN BARS 
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts
2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Boil together in saucepan raisins, water, and shortening; cool. Into cooled mixture, beat in the remaining ingredients. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Frost with lemon or brown sugar frosting.
